It’s great you’ve popped in to check out my site, and I hope you enjoy looking around! If you are reading this page, you’ll be wanting to know a little about me …
I live in the beautiful region of Wellington with my wonderful hubby and our two gorgeous boys. And to be honest, I feel extremely lucky to have these three blokes! We love all the outdoor activities of the Upper Hutt region, where we live, and the amazing buzz of Wellington.
I decided early on in life that photography was the road for me, securing an after-school job at a photographic studio. After spending a few years working at the studio my boss decided he was ready to retire. I decided it was time for an adventure. I joined the Royal New Zealand Air Force and became a Defence Photographer.
I was so lucky, I travelled with camera in hand to all sorts of destinations within NZ and overseas, including East Timor, Antarctica, France and Belgium. The most life changing of those was serving in East Timor. Strangely enough, it was this country that formed my passion for photographing families. Hearing heart wrenching stories on a frequent basis, these people taught us how to celebrate life’s precious moments.
I love capturing the emotion within different family relationships, and making individuals shine too. We all have a story, and my aim in every photo session is to capture a little bit of yours.
I really enjoy gardening, drinking coffee at home with friends, flowers in the garden always make me smile, and I love hearing about our boys’ day when they get home after school. Really, I love the simple things in life, the cosiness of a handmade blanket, the wind in my face, the smiles of our kids, a special dinner cooked by my hubby (it turns out he’s rather a good chef!), and the company of our friends.
So sit back with a nice cup of tea (or a cheeky glass of wine!), and enjoy checking out my website – I hope to meet you soon!
