Life on the Farm
I arrived at Gretchen and Leyton's on a gorgeous autumn morning. The sun was low and the cloud cover created beautiful soft lighting. The scene was set and, needless to say, I was feeling pretty excited! Gretchen has a real eye for colour - I loved the colours and outfits she'd selected, they toned into the surrounding landscape beautifully yet each person still owned their individual style. Photographing at a family farm is a real treat for me, there are plenty of amazing locations and it really personalises the photographs for the family. Of course there is the animal poo hazard, especially for little ones! So sometimes on a farm photo session there's good reason to race back and change an outfit or two!
Awww! I totally love these sweet interactive moments between both siblings and parents, they give me warm fuzzies! Want to see the images below in full, please click and scroll through the gallery.
After having fun at the woolshed we headed up the hill for a few intimate family shots.
Time to head back to the house to capture some photos around their living area. Kids changed into their favourite clothing, the horse came out and the tears began! Gretchen mentioned she loved that these moments were documented too - real life!
Shortly after this photo, Leyton headed out to work on their sheep and beef farm. And these two are busy to say the least - Gretchen owns a farm cloud based business called AgRecord. It helps farmers manage their business while out doing what they really want to be doing, farming. Leyton plays a key part in the business too - you should check it out -AgRecord!
